Abstract:
This dataset contains X-ray computed tomography (XCT) images and obtained crystal size distribution (CSD) data of ilmenite for a suite of 10 Apollo 17 high-Ti mare basalts from drive tube 73002. The purpose of this dataset is to investigate how cooling rate can influence textures of these Apollo 17 basalts and effects orientation of ilmenite crystals has on cooling rates.
