Ungrouped chondrite geochemistry
Abstract:
The origins of ungrouped chondrites remain a mystery, and these enigmatic materials thus offer an opportunity for exploration of our solar system’s deep past and the potential to discover evidence of previously unknown primitive bodies. In this data descriptor, we describe the compilation, cleaning, and curation of a large dataset comprising multiple chondrite components and whole rock geochemistry, making this the single most comprehensive dataset on ungrouped chondrites and their attributes. This dataset consolidates geochemical analyses from diverse sources, including original research articles, offering a holistic perspective on the chemical compositions and variations of ungrouped chondrites and their distinct constituents. Our work aims to facilitate future research and advancements in the fields of cosmochemistry, planetary science, and astrobiology, providing a valuable resource for researchers exploring the complex evolution of our solar system's ancient materials.
