Sample Preparation, Analytical Methods and Complete Analytic Results for Pallasite Olivines
Abstract:
This online dataset consists of several files that include the information that was used to develop a petrologic interpretation of the origin of pallasite meteorites as given in the parent publication (Related Publication #1). A narrative document includes information on the pallasite olivine samples studied, details of sample preparation, descriptions of the analytical methodology and data reduction, comparisons of the analytical results determined by different techniques and with literature data, and miscellaneous additional information that is mentioned in the parent publication. This file includes Tables S1 to S3 and Figures S1 to S10. Full analytical results are given in three separate spreadsheet files, one for each technique used: electron microprobe analysis (Tables E1 to E6); instrumental neutron activation analysis (Tables I1 and I2); and laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (Tables L1 to L3). The tables in these files include individual analyses, averages by sample and averages by meteorite.
